Later co-founded Careys, a wholsale newsagents in Worthing, with the Carey family (but not as partner) living above the buisness at Railway Approach.Later to 73 Broomfield Ave and eventually Wiston Avenue, where he died of lung cancer.

Her father Joseph a milkman	1/6/1962 aged 76 of cardiac infarction, atherosclerosis, at 57 South St., Tarring, Worthing.	daughter of Joseph, a milkman, and Louisa, late Dibley(?) formerly Wright	When widowed, moved to first floor flat in South St. Worthing (57).
